Your Sunday Best ~ Rocky Mountain Wildflowers

Yarrow

Mexican Hat

hair bells

Thistle
These are the names our mountain folk call the flowers. Aside from the Yarrow, I don't know their true names. I have found that even in a floral shop, the names of a flower can change drastically by location. If you know any other names for these flowers please let me know in the comments!
I would love to know! Thank you!

    1. Thanks! I use a point and shoot panasonic, which is what I used for these. And now and then I pull out my husbands old Nikon. It's one of the first digital camera's they made. A total dinosaur! But it takes great pictures and I'm learning. I never thought of photography as a hobby, but the more I snap, the more I love it! I think it started with the photo a day challenge and has gone from there.

  5. Loving the thistle. But then, I've always been drawn to purple and it's such a hard color to capture. This is one gorgeous photo. I have never seen blue bells in real life and those flowers are beautiful!
